If you are coming to San Antonio, let me be one of the first to say "Hi, Ya'll and welcome to our wonderful piece of Texas." If you're already here, then "Hello neighbor." My family and I lived in many places during our 24 year Air Force career but San Antonio is without a doubt the best. We know what it's like to pick-up and move the family to an unfamiliar place. It can be very disturbing, yet exciting, to arrive at your final destination and not even know which way is north. And we know what it's like to sell that special home where your family has grown, but to be moving on to bigger and better things.

For those of you considering buying a home, these may be some of the questions that are floating around on your mind:

Where are the schools?
Will my kids be safe?
If I work at night will my family be safe?
How close am I to my work place?
How do we get the electric turned on?
Where am I going to find a new car insurance agent?
Is this a nice neighborhood?
Should I buy a new or pre-owned home?
Do they allow pets in a rental home?
Does the home include a refrigerator?
Where is the grocery store?
Do I have to learn how to ride a horse and say "Ya'll?" (short for "You-uns")
How soon can we get our new home?
Where do we find a bank that will loan us money for our home?
Do we qualify for a loan?
Will my mother-in-law move in with us?

There are just as many, if not more, questions when you are considering selling your home. So much paperwork to do; so many things to consider before your home is placed on the market for sale.

Should I sell my home?
How much will I get for it?
What is our home worth?
How much will it cost me to sell it?
What needs to be fixed before we put our home on the market?
How long does it take to sell a home in my neighborhood?
How do we know who is going to show our home?
How does a real estate company list our home for sale?
Do we need to paint our home?
How do we get through this whole process without problems?
Does my home always have to be ready for buyers to view? (YES!)
Why should I hire a Realtor instead of selling it myself?
Do we REALLY have to move after we sell it? (I've had children ask me this)

I have the answers to these questions and a whole lot more. However, I can't answer the Buyer's last question...I don't know if your mother-in-law will move in or not.

Humor aside, your best tool for selecting that special home is education. Not knowing what you are doing or if you are doing the right thing, can be a traumatic experience and can give you a headache. My clients know what their options are before they sign any paperwork to sell, purchase, or lease a home. Finding or selling a home should be a good thing. With me helping you and cooperation between us everything will be fine. You will be satisfied with your choice.
